C.J. David, tenor, accompanied by Russell Weissman will be performing a 45 minute lecture recital at St. Francis de Chantal in Bethesda, MD. The performance will include selections from Handel's Messiah, Mendelssohn's Elijah,  and the full song-cycle Hermit Songs by Samuel Barber (Read: everything is sacred but will be in English). Come join the flock of elderly folk from the nearby retirement home for an afternoon of oratorio and a set of weirdly provocative and sometimes sexually ambiguous art song!
